# Refund an IDO

## Refund Eligibility Period

Start of Eligibility: Refunds are permissible from the moment you invest until the project's active phase concludes.

End of Eligibility: The exact date and time when the project's active phase ends will be clearly displayed on the project's detail page. After this point, the refund option will no longer be available.

### Step 1: Connect wallet

Connect wallet, If you don't know how to connect your wallet, [Click here](https://docs.padton.com/padton/connect-wallet) to see instructions for connecting your wallet

### Step 2: Go to IDO screen

At header, Click IDO to go to IDO screen

### Step 3: Navigate to Your IDO screen

At IDO screen, click on "Go to your IDO" at banner before the footer

### Step 4: Access Invest Tab

Go to the Invest Tab, on your IDO screen, click on the "Invest" tab to view your created projects.

### Step 5: Choose Project

Select projects that are in active status. Only when the project is in this status can investors receive a refund, click "View" button to go Project details screen

### Step 6: Initiate the Refund Process

On the project details page, locate and click on the "Refund" button. This option is only clickable if the project is still within its active phase.

### Step 3: Review the Refund Confirmation

Upon clicking "Refund", a popup will appear warning you that proceeding will forfeit your ability to reinvest in this project.

The popup will also display the total amount you will receive back, which will be 90% of your initial investment (a 10% fee will be deducted).

### Step 4: Confirm Your Refund

Confirm your decision by clicking on the button provided in the popup. This action is irreversible.

### Step 5: Receive Your Funds

After confirming, the specified refund amount (90% of your original investment) will be processed back to your wallet. Please check your wallet to ensure that the funds have been received.

## Important Considerations

* Once processing a refund, you will no longer be able to invest again in the same project.
* Ensure you are aware of the project's active phase deadlines to avoid missing the refund opportunity.
